How old do I need to be to shop from Djuce online?

The answer to this question depends on the country in which you are resident. Djuce will never deliver wines to anyone that is below the legal ordering and drinking age of any country.

Where can I buy/drink Djuce?

Apart from the obvious of ordering it online here, you will find a complete list of restaurants, wine shops, hotels and retail stores that sell Djuce here.

From where in the world can I order your cans?

We currently ship to Germany, Denmark and Sweden, plus in the UK via our partners Newcomer Wines. 

Do you pay all taxes, VAT or customs duties for my order?

Orders to Sweden, Denmark and Germany are delivered with duties paid. 

Do you deliver directly to my home?

This depends on your local courier and their shipping options. Check our Shipping & Returns page for details.

How long does it take to ship the cans to me?

Depending on where you live you can expect anything from next day delivery up to 3-12 business days. In most cases we estimate 2 - 7 days of delivery.

Where do you ship your cans from?

We ship from our e-commerce warehouse in Germany.

What payment methods are allowed?

We use Shop Pay which enables Debet/Credit Card, and Paypal.

Can I return my order?

Returns are accepted within 30 days if the cans are returned in a condition where we are able to resell them. Please note that you as customer will need to pay the shipping cost yourself as well as any return fees. To initiate a return please contact hello@djuce.com.

What happens if I get a faulty product?

In the case that you are not satisfied with your product for any reason - please email hello@djuce.com and give us as much detail (text and image/video) as you can on what it is that does not meet your expectations.

Where do you can your wine?

We can at several locations in southern Europe. We have selected our partners based on a combination of craftsmanship and location.

Where do you source the wine you put into cans?

We source wine from every part of Europe. You can find out more about our producers here

Is the can recyclable?

We source our aluminum metal cans from Ardagh Group. Ardagh cans have the trademark “Metal Recycles Forever”, meaning that cans are 100% recyclable and can be recycled infinitely with no loss of quality. Recyclability is Aluminum’s strongest environmental attribute, especially when it comes to reducing CO2 emissions.

Where is your aluminum sourced?

We don’t handle the aluminum ourselves. We source our aluminum metal cans from Ardagh Group, a producer of various forms of packaging. Ardagh cans have the trademark “Metal Recycles Forever”, meaning that “Cans are 100% recyclable and can be recycled infinitely with no loss of quality”

Ardagh has earned an A rating from CDP, which is an international not-for-profit charity that runs a global disclosure system which helps different stakeholders to manage environmental impacts. The rating can be found here.

Where are the cans you use produced?

They are produced by Ardagh Group which has production facilities all over Europe. Their beverage metal packaging facility is located in Valdemorillo, Madrid, Spain.

Why are you going for cans instead of paper packaging. Isn’t that even more sustainable from a CO2 emission perspective?

It is true that the CO2 emissions from the production of paper packaging is almost half of that of a can. With the overall goal of reducing the climate impact of wine we looked at which packaging type had the highest chance of attracting wine drinkers, changing their consumption behavior away from heavy glass bottles. We choose cans based on the success cans have had in craft beer coupled with the super strong growth of canned wine in the US. We are also exploring paper packaging with the ambition to try it in the market in the near future.

What do you mean by sustainably farmed?

Our starting point is that we work with winemakers that are seeking to make wine with the least amount of negative impact on the environment. This can manifest itself by certification (ECOLOGICAL or BIO) but we also find winemakers that deliberately have chosen not to adhere to those standards but that still go further in their ambition to decrease their negative impact.

How is my Djuce Package order more efficient than a typical wine mail order package?

• Djuce cans are roughly 3 times more efficiently stacked than glass bottles. With Djuce you’re shipping 5.5 L of air, whereas a typical mail package ships 24 L of air
• For the same volume of wine, the Djuce package weighs 5.4 kg, whereas a typical mail package weighs 8.0 kg and causes more emissions.

Is wine in glass bottles safer to drink?

Aluminum cans are coated with an health graded inner lining that prevents the wine from reacting with metal. It’s as safe a drinking a coca cola from a can.

Is there a taste difference between wine in glass and wine in a can?

The WBW Exibition, in collaboration with WIC Research, published that 51.3% of blind taste participants, preferred canned wine or found no difference in taste. An article by Forbes covering the same study, concludes no strong preferences between the identical wine packaged in a can, vs. packaged in a bottle. Surprisingly, dry Riesling wine in a can was preferred by 57.2% of participants, and dry Rosé in Can was preferred by 68.3% of participants.
